Duc in Altum

Duc in altum.

There are those who run in these days of winter, those fleeing on the first train and those who fight for gaps to be filled.
There are those who look away from their road, and those who forget their journey between the calls of their job, their career, their fake priorities, chasing away their dreams, re booking them for the next life .
Some people keep a hope for a new future, others struggle for it now, in their offices, in their houses, racing against time, against their three jobs and their lack of time for their sacrificed life projects.
Some people try to fly away from themselves, others will never find their real selves, in this winter of increasing light.
rejecting a love that recalls an idea of responsibility.

Refugees in the hearts of others, we try to listen over the voices, over the expectations of the world, taking shelter in the only real home that we carry in our hearts, pointing to the centre in order to fly high.

Do we really need to go away in order to be happy?
Light up your dreams and take off .

Keep calm and discern

Basti a te stesso?

Keep calm and discern

"We always try to grab the first thing we find. Instead, we must continue to hope and not get tired to fight: at the end we will find what really makes us happy "

Who am I?
Where am I going ?
What do I want from my life ?
Disorder and movement, we always look for something else. Detested desires and emergencies, priorities and projects. truth and completeness. Reject the greys and compromises, find the courage to choose, sacrificing what’s superfluous.
Get out of your safety and believe, walk on your own way, and shed light on what you really want, freeing yoursdelf from what others want for you.
Don’t let them break you down, or your guilts stop you and loose hope.

Seek fullness and reject compromises, in a harmony unforeseen and unexpected, in the coherence of a project that goes beyond the momentary diversions.
A memory in the back of your mind: an unreseved love, believing that “only what is given it’s yours forever".
"And I will take you to the desert and speak to your heart."
Keep calm and discern

Coraggio

Mi chiedo, a volte, cosa ci porta a scegliere una vita piatta;

Per gli errori esiste perdono; per gli insuccessi, opportunità;

Italy: love it or leave it

Which city do you call home? Which city do you call home? No curtains, no olive oil, no sun, but with bus that run, free museums, bikesharing, good salaries start-ups and young entrepreneurship. "That's for all that I could do, be and have at home." Four years, nine mo three covers, somebody else boots, no coffee maker, getting accostumed to ginseng, while wondering who made me a slave of my home country. "With my absence I will make you remember what you should regret." And don't answer me that happiness is mine, and mine alone: I am just a dreamer fighting somewhere else "

Do we need to go faster?

Do we need to gain more?
What the world really needs?

Christmas lights on via Merulana, evenings up and down on 80s music, watching Barberini’s fountain from the above, a glimpse at the burlesque show and a glance at the dreams that are missing. Under the Christmas tree a wish list that reminds of doubts and forgiveness accepted, of intimate lights and inner dark.
In the meantime we struggle between those who told us that we are never never enough , those who urges us to carry on and that inner voice that shouts out that we are the only ones that can shape our happiness.
But, what’s happiness?
There are some who find it in a polka dot handkerchief, others who discover it in a mushroom shaped pair of earrings or in lily on their cabinet.
There are those who would be happy knowing that they can subscribe to the gym, or finding out that they can buy a piece of furniture without having to sell it at the next moving.

“Social entrepreneurship is about realizing the capacity within each person to reshape a part of the world. It doesn't require elite education: it requires a backpack. It comes from first hand engagement with the world, from asking lots of questions and observing with a deep caring to understand. Social entrepreneurs are people that cannot stand to watch others suffer, people that cannot stand to others missing opportunities they should have” (1)

Ricordi...Volontariato a Calcutta

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I was told so so many things before leaving: that it would be tough and difficult, that I wouln't be able to bear the strain, the cultural diversity, the dirt, the traffic and poverty. I was told that Calcutta would have been a "punch in my stomach," that I would only want to take the first plane back home.
